All manuscripts submitted to Bromopedia: Journal of Biology Education Exploration undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of the scholarly content.

1. Initial Screening

Upon submission, the editorial team will conduct a preliminary review to check:

  • The manuscript’s relevance to the journal's scope

  • Compliance with formatting and submission guidelines

  • Similarity check using plagiarism detection software

Manuscripts that do not meet basic requirements will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected outright.

2. Double-Blind Review

Qualified manuscripts are then sent to two independent reviewers who are experts in the field. Both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous throughout the process.

Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and novelty of the research

  • Clarity of research questions and objectives

  • Appropriateness of the methodology

  • Depth and coherence of analysis and discussion

  • Significance of findings

  • Relevance to biology education and/or the Indonesian context

3. Review Outcomes

The possible outcomes of the review are:

  • Accept without revision

  • Accept with minor revision

  • Revise and resubmit (major revision)

  • Reject

Authors will receive constructive feedback and are expected to revise their manuscripts accordingly. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the same reviewers for re-evaluation.

4. Editorial Decision

The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of the revisions.

5. Timeline

The peer review process typically takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the extent of revisions required.

6. Confidentiality and Ethics

All manuscripts and peer reviews are treated confidentially. Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and review the work objectively and ethically.
