Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit their manuscripts to Bromopedia: Journal of Biology Education Exploration are expected to follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth peer-review and publication process.

1. Manuscript Types

Bromopedia accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Empirical research articles

  • Systematic literature reviews

  • Reports on instructional development and innovation

  • Critical analyses of biology education practices

2. Language and Format

  • Manuscripts must be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia with clear academic language.

  • Use Times New Roman, 12 pt font, 1.5 line spacing, A4 paper size, with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.

  • The manuscript should be submitted in .doc or .docx format.

3. Structure of the Manuscript

Each manuscript should generally include the following sections (for research articles):

  1. Title (brief and informative, max 16 words)

  2. Author(s) and Affiliation(s) (include email of corresponding author)

  3. Abstract (150–250 words)

    • Must include background, objectives, method, results, and conclusion

  4. Keywords (3–5 keywords)

  5. Introduction

  6. Method

  7. Results and Discussion

  8. Conclusion

  9. Acknowledgements (if applicable)

  10. References

4. Citation and References

  • Use APA Style (7th edition) for all in-text citations and reference lists.

  • References must consist of at least 80% recent sources (last 10 years) and include at least 2 journal articles.

5. Plagiarism and Originality

  • Manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism.

  • All submissions will be checked using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with similarity above 25% will be rejected or returned for revision.

6. Submission Process

  • Manuscripts must be submitted via the Online Journal System (OJS) at [insert journal URL].

  • Authors must register and log in to the system to submit.

7. Peer Review

  • All manuscripts will undergo double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers.

  • The review process takes approximately 4–8 weeks.

8. Publication Fee

  • Currently, Bromopedia does not charge any article processing or submission fees.

9. Copyright and Licensing

  • All published articles are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).

  • Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication.
