Abstract

The learning process plays an important role in the students' interest and learning outcomes. Teachers are required to present an interesting and efficient learning model so that students are more enthusiastic in mastering the material. This study aims to describe the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model assisted by Wordwall on students' interest and learning outcomes in Biotechnology material for class X at SMA Negeri 4 Pasuruan City. This study uses a Quasi Experimental Design with the application of different treatments in two classes. The sample of this study consisted of 70 students divided into 2 groups, namely 35 students in the experimental class and 35 students in the control class. The instruments used were learning outcome tests, learning interest scores, and learning interest observation sheets. The research data were analyzed using the Independent Sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that the student's learning interest scores produced a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000. The same test on the student interest observation sheet also obtained a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000. Furthermore, on student learning outcomes, the Independent Sample t-test showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000. Thus, it is concluded that there is an influence of the Team Game Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model assisted by Wordwall on students' interest and learning outcomes in Biotechnology material for class X of SMA Negeri 4 Kota Pasuruan.
