Main Article Content
Abstract
Mount Arjuno is a famous mountain in Pasuruan Regency. The local potential in the Gunung Arjuno river basin is still not widely explored and recorded, both as fisheries information data and learning resource data. The school at SMAN 1 Purwosari has not implemented local potential-based learning. The amount of local potential, especially regarding the natural resources around the school, has not been utilized properly. It is evident that there is no research that explores the source or local potential of freshwater fisheries in the Arjuno Mountain River. The objectives of this research are 1) Analyzing the index of fish species diversity in the Arjuno mountain river flow of Pasuruan Regency. 2) Analyzing the dominance index of fish in the Arjuno mountain river flow of Pasuruan Regency. 3) Identifying the potential of the research results of the diversity index and dominance of fish in the Arjuno mountain river as a source of learning biology class X. This research method uses a mix methods, namely qualitative research and ex-post facto. The sampling location of this study is divided into 2 stations with each station there are 3 sampling points. Sampling of Pisces class in the Arjuno Mountain river flow using purposive sampling method at each research point. The results of research in the Arjuno Mountain river flow were found in the Arjuno mountain river flow of Pasuruan Regency, there were 5 orders 6 families 7 genus and 8 species from the order Perciformes, Cypriniformes, Cyprinodontiformes, Beloniformes, Siluriformes. The results of this study are used as a source of learning biology at SMA Negeri 1 Purwosari
